Tradition Stained Glass & Leadlight
Established in 1908 in the Netherlands, this third-generation family business is playing a critical role in nurturing and sustaining the artisan heritage glass industry in Western Australia.
The company keeps traditional stained-glass skills alive by passing on skills to new generations of apprentices, schooling them in traditional techniques and the use of original machinery.
Tradition Stained Glass & Leadlight is a family-owned business run by third-generation art-glass artisan Kim Fitzpatrick. The business specialises in manufacturing authentic stained glass and leadlights and a comprehensive restoration service.
The team at Tradition Stained Glass are fully trained in age-old traditional techniques, with original lead milling machinery still being used today, and were fortunate to have their skills passed down to them from a true master craftsman, Kim’s grandfather. That European influence continues in their work today.
The business manufactured authentic stained glass for the Legislative Assembly, and the Presidents Corridor and formal dining area in the Western Australian Parliament House. As well as restoring multiple leadlights at St Georges College in Crawley, and at the National Hotel in Fremantle.
Tradition Stained Glass has been showing the world their unique style of designs and creations for 110 years.
